Your song has a bunch of really heavy beats in it that I don't feel that you tried to sync to (especially in the beginning). I also feel that your song had a lot faster pace and more energy than what was portrayed in your clips. So my advice to you is to just think a little more about the energy and pace of your song when picking out scenes. This will help your scenes flow more with the song. I think that this video guide by Vivifx might help you out with that https://youtu.be/J5Jjxb6Lw7s

I actually prefer lyric syncing. ^^ I see no point in fast scenes that has zero value to the song lyrics. "A little evil goes a long, long way"
It's like make-up. My work is not that pretty with effects and technical but damn, every one has a soul and a story in them...

We all have different styles and i'm not going to change it because someone doesn't like it since there seem to be enough people who does like my style. (6 times finalist in contests)

Thanks for your opinion but... that feels more like forcing your opinion and style to me.

Don't force your preferred style. It's good that there are so many different ones. ^^''

I'm not forcing any particular style on you. I'm just informing you that there are many different types of sync (not just lyric sync). Also, just because a scene is fast doesn't mean that it has zero value to the song lyrics. Finding ways to have your clips sync to the rhythm, pace and flow of the song while maintaining lyric sync is the key. You don't have to sacrifice one over the other. And finding the balance between the two will help you grow as an editor. If you want to learn more about the different types of sync, check out this guide here: http://www.animemusicvideos.org/forum/v ... =2&t=92942

Thank you of that but i have read that long time a go. And my editing tricks are not from any guide. Senpai knows tricks how to edit pure FullHD skipping all the avisynth and other work and i go with senpais quidance and teachings. ^^

I like old school style. Too fast editing and flashy effects give me a headache. Really. I don't diss them and i usually give high scores/star ratings to those too but i just can't watch them myself.

ermm senpai should beta test for you more, there really needs to be more sync, this wasn't old school sync, even the original engel has more sync. there are allot of missed transitions. Kirie is right, I'd suggest getting a few extra beta testers they will help you with a broader range of feedback and ideas for sync.

Really?
Finalist at:
Hoshicon 2015
Akaicon2015
Yaoicon2015
Oni-Con XII 2015
Tsukino-Con 2016 runner up
Tekko 2016

Listen to them. Every AMV IS synched with beat and lyrics.
Maybe you should learn how to write in English before you even comment on the lyric synch and beat synch i do?

Sadly no amount of awards will actually improve the sync in the video. And no amount of abusive private messages stating how much you hate people like me will actually get a rise out of me. I should have been less subtle, almost thought this was a beta the sync was off in nearly every way imaginable some parts fit and the rest didnt. Needs more polish. But if you think this is a quality final product good for you, dont expect gushing praise when you release something this rough. Even the best videos can be pulled apart but that's not what is happening here. People will give you their opinions be more gracious that they took the time to watch and give feedback.

So I wasn't going to comment, but the level of ignorance of this statement made it too hard to resist. OK, first of all, you don't have to listen to criticism, many people chose not to. HOWEVER, stooping to petty insults, and trying to act as if you are above those attempting to give you VALID advice will definitely not change how good your video is. I watched it, and honestly, it is average at best. If you do not like a lot of fast cuts, try internal beat sync more. Like Kireblue said, you can definitely have both. If you are fine with your videos being at this level, that's completely fine to. Not everyone strives to improve. However, if you don't want to improve, don't expect people to automatically adore your videos. At the level you are currently editing, they won't. Sorry, but that's how it is. Bringing up a list of finalists at cons means virtually because honestly, making finals at small cons, especially in upbeat categories, is not very hard. It is still definitely some kind of accomplishment and is something you should be proud of, but it does not mean your video is perfect in every way. My first video I sent to contests won over 10 awards, but I didn't prance around acting better than everyone else. I KNEW the video could have been improved, and I KNEW my editing could be improved. So I worked harder to better my videos. I listened to the advice of my peers and I got better. Acting like an entitled spoil brat will not cause your videos to get better, nor will it help you make friends in the community.

Edit: I also half think you are trolling because of all of the senpai nonsense, but I never know on this website. There are some very silly people who come here.
