Personally, I haven't been having problems with the website/server domain, although it's possible that the problems could be the result of people attempting to upload their entries as the deadline slowly approaches.

In regards to language: I would censor your audio if you even think it's questionable. If it's one or two drops, I'll likely censor it myself. I don't like doing it, because I don't like trampling artistic vision, but if that artistic vision prevents you from showing your video at all, I figure I'm doing you a favor. If you're dropping F-bombs like nobody's business, you'll likely just be DQ'd. Any video with objectionable content will have a VERY short grace period after prescreenings to fix their content. This window is ONLY to repair your objectionable content and NOT bonus time to clean up your whole video!

In regards to the domain, the FTP goes right into my house. The connection is pretty solid, and right now (with less than 12 hours to go) I see nobody uploading.
Usually upload problems are fixed by A) toggling passive transfers, sometimes you need it, sometimes you don't, and B) Uploading to the UPLOAD folder. You can't upload to the root of your directory. I ping the domain from an outside server every hour, so I know it's up and running from the outside.

Iron Editor recruitment is open, see here: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=127941
Anyone who's already PM'd me, I've already added to the list of potential competitors, no need to follow up.

AMV Contest Confirmations will go out soon. I am processing all videos today, tomorrow, and the 4th. Judging is being held on the 8th, so finalists will likely be posted the following week.

I am actually having issues. But mostly with trying to get java to show up at all. The links to update java for 64 bit in firefox aren't workings since every time I try to install/download it, it's auto 32 bit. Even went to java and downloaded directly from there for 64 bit but still no go. Even tried internet explorer/Microsoft edge. I updated windows recently and i am not sure if that should have affected it but I am not sure.

Java plugin has been discontinued for just about every browser. If you login to the FTP site, there's a section with a lengthy troubleshooting guide under the "WEB BASED FTP HELP" link that explains this.

32-bit IE should absolutely work if you manually install Java from Oracle:
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/ ... 33155.html
Windows x86 Offline.

Alternatively, you can use any FTP client using the info in the "FTP CLIENT UPLOAD INFO" section of your web-based FTP control panel.

The web-based plugin was always meant as a last resort to FTP client misbehavior, it was never meant to be the primary means of sending us your video. Hopefully next year we'll have something simpler in place.

Personally, I suggest the FTP client route, as I've been using that for three years now, and I haven't had a problem with that method.

So isn't it around this time we start guessing how many entries there were?

I'm going to go with.. 82.
