We Remember Godix
So a loooooonnngggg time ago, I took Drawing I at school and it was soon after Godix died. I was cleaning out my art drawers and I found a mini project I had done. I guess I drew this as a tribute to him and all he gave the AMV community.... he was one of my best friends and even though no one really understood our relationship, we stood strong until the end. Dom and I knew him very well and he is greatly missed. As the date of his death draws closer I think it would be good for us to remember him.

I've never actually seen a picture of him before! To this day, I still feel that he's given us the most well written and accurate guide on AMVs of all time. At one point, I was I was sharing his So You Want To Be A *GOOD* Anime Music Video Editor? guide to a different newcomer almost ever day

Re: We Remember Godix
Godix was also one of my best friends in the hobby. Our public relationship was, like many things with Godix, not what it seemed. If it appeared as though Godix hated me and I hated him back, that was actually part of the joke and his persona. Privately we had some of the greatest political and philosophical discussions I have ever had with another human being. He was an absurdist troll comedian of the highest order the likes of which I think you can only compare to people like Andy Kaufman to really begin to comprehend.
I took his death very hard.

Godix and NME were both much needed doses of reality in the arm of this community. Hail to the kings, baby.
