Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Hi! I have a couple of AMVs that have been sitting around...

Firstly thank you to Seasons, who has asked my friend on Reddit to get in contact with me to post these here. I used to like AMVs a lot when I was younger and still really like anime, but after going to school for film, and not finding any work and moving back home, I decided to start making some AMVs of anime that I really liked with songs that I've been listening to lately/that seem to fit along with the anime I have in mind. Usually I listen to a song and then I think "oh this might look nice with this anime" and start messing around.

I have one really long AMV that I've put the most effort into, an 11 minute Neon Genesis AMV which is probably my favorite and best amv, personally — but the others I think are nice or good enough, I just make them to make them, and keep myself editing things even just slightly so I can keep using Adobe Premiere. I'm not really one for effects, I just like cutting to sound. I have a couple more I haven't shared on this site, but one hasn't passed the premiere date and I'm already tired writing this.

:bear: Thank you for your time and hope you all have a great weekend! Here are the three I made entries for :bear:

Colouring of Pigeons is absolutely phenomenal, it was one of my favorite AMVs from last year. I liked it so much, in fact, that I wrote about it on my blog. I hope you continue to make stuff as unconventional as any one of these three videos.

Thank you for joining this site! I'm a huge admirer of your work. "Colouring of Pigeons" and "Iguessuneverbeenlonely" were two of my favorite AMVs from last year. I'm putting off watching your Revolutionary Girl Utena AMV until after I've seen the series... which may or may not actually save me from spoilers (like I haven't already been exposed to tons of them already over the years) but might be worth it if it helps fasttrack the series to the top of my watchlist where it currently sits.

Your Eva video is one of the most appropriately dark and genuinely alien-feeling AMVs I've ever seen anyone make with the series (or possibly any anime, really). Yeah, it's long but the time just flies by for me whenever I watch it. I had things I was going to do this morning but now suddenly I'm watching it again.

This site won't take down any of your videos (unless you're editing with Evanescence, Creed, etc., which I kind of assume you weren't planning on doing) so if you run into any videos being blocked on YouTube, you can still link to other hosting services here (Google Drive, Mediafire, etc) in lieu of a YouTube link. Or you can just straight up upload it here once you've created an entry for it.

Thanks for sharing your work on YouTube and taking the time to join here. Hope to see something new from you sometime this year, or at least as long as you have time to edit and enjoy doing it.
