Post by Salkryn » Mon May 20, 2019 12:10 pm

I apologize for not making the usual announcement post on this forum, I've been preoccupied with trying to finish my bachelor's degree and recovering from surgery after being hit by a car. Is it really OK to post everyone's real names? At least one of these contestants here is literally 8 years old; I can't imagine you actually have consent to post PII in this way, but hey, maybe you did ask, but I'm just sayin' it seems sketch.

fwiw I know that “Bananya Cat Cuteness Overload” was credited to the studio name during the contest itself and not the names that are listed in the results here. Same goes for the Maboroshi Studio entries.

Having an “editor name” used for the contest instead of one’s IRL name was an option in the entry form. I don’t get why a few of the winners who go by Internet handles on their YouTube channel and elsewhere apparently didn’t choose to do so in this contest.

Most contests as far as i know require sharing your real name in the submission process but also offer providing a screen name for credit purposes.

I submitted my entries with my real name and also with "Opner." As far as I know there wasn't an option to choose which would be presented.

Exactly, the real name should only be used for mailing prizes, I always thought (unless you don't provide a screen name).
