Right Resolution

Post by Tiisfun » Thu Mar 26, 2020 5:42 am

I want to rip some chapters to have a private backup. I use dvdfab, but I am not sure about the right resolution.

Source: NTSC, 720 x 480, 29.97 fps
I want to play back with a laptop on TV.

DVDfab has only:
720 * 404
856 * 480
848 * 476
800 * 448
704 * 396
640 * 360
600 * 336
480 * 268
400 * 224
320 * 180

Depends on the source itself and if you are going to use playback resizing or resize it manually when encoding it. Is it 16:9 or 4:3 content?

I found it, you can input manually the numbers.
It seems that NTSC 16:9 should be rezised. PAL 16:9 looks well.
