Nirvana - Milk It AMV

Post by AbrogateNeed » Sun Feb 27, 2022 9:43 pm

Got an un-hardsubbed copy of The Death Lullaby after finding the new DVD through Harada's really awesome website (http://kiryukan.hariko.com/) and contacted the Taco che staff to get them to ship it through my friend in the UK to me. The DVD's really awesome and has a bunch of old Harada shorts, if anyone is interested in it feel free to contact me!

As for the video itself, lets just say it goes hard. Hard like motherf'n liquid swords. Hope you dig.

Man, feels like something that would be on Liquid Television on MTV in the 90's. This anime looks pretty kick ass, I need to check it out. Video is solid, I totally dig it.
Spoiler :
If I can just sum up that one scene with this quote:

You such a legend man, thanks so much for checkin it out! Ya I was gettin heavy MTV vibes from this animation which definitely helped inspire the Nirvana connection. Harada's such an annihilator, you can probably find the full short floating around Youtube with hardsubs, and if you want it without the subs or some of Harada's earlier stuff feel free to hit me up!

Also you got me laffin with that Platoon clip man great job

I've probably never watched anything quite like this.

Visuals are as apt a reflection of the sound of this music as you can get.

Ridiculously creative and well-timed sync.

This is so brutal and ugly but altogether I'm kind of astounded by how watchable I find it and how much I genuinely enjoy just soaking in this.

I go through weird Nirvana phases and I happen to be in one right now so this is really resonating with me in a big way. Even if that wasn't happening, I could see this video being the catalyst to pulling me into the next phase of that.

Thank you so much for the kind words Seasons!

Ya the watchability of this final video has really taken me by surprise lol. During editing I thought I was making something really abrasive and alienating, but taking a step back at the final product it comes across as something exaggerated but approachable (I guess in that sense it's a bit like Nirvana's music, which if you isolate specific elements should be much harder to swallow than it is)

I totally know the feel of Nirvana phases and I was going thru a big one after releasing this vid (the With the Lights Out box has been seeing heavy rotation), and I'm glad I could help contribute to another person's mania towards a truly alltimer band.
