Anime Festival Orlando (AFO) 2022 - AMV + HMV Contests Now Open - Entries Due 6/12

Well, folks.... WE'RE BACK!!! After a 2-year pandemic-induced hiatus, AFO's AMV Contest returns for our *21st* year!
If you are a previous entrant to our contest, your account will still work.

We DO accept all entries from out of area (hence us posting it here on the ORG) but physical CON attendees are given precedence for awards.

We also give Judge's awards and a FAN FAVORITE (voted live by actual attendees at the show via mobile web+sms) which can go to anyone, anywhere, so bring us your best!

While the original AMV Contest is rated PG-13, we are also holding an 18+ AFO HMV Contest separate from the main contest that will be held on Saturday of the convention, please submit your HMV entries there.

ALL ENTRIES ARE DUE BEFORE Sunday, June 12th.
The AFO AMV Contest Event (PG-13 Rated) for Convention Attendees is Sunday June 26th.

Can we submit eechi amvs to the 18+ contest? I have a video that's kind of borderline between PG-13 yet not quite HMV, but probably not suitable for the regular PG-13 showing.

Thanks for your interest. If it's not strictly an HMV but doesn't have pervasive nudity, go ahead and submit it to the main AMV contest.

If we decide it's past the line for our main event audience, we can send it over to the HMV folks for consideration.

EDIT: Because the last two years have been a bit odd due to global pandemic etc, we will accept videos dated March 2020 and after. However, any videos receiving 3 or more awards at other conventions will likely not be considered to make room for newer & lesser known videos. We still want to have relatively fresh content but understand if it hasn't been easy to create it as of late.

I think it is a bit misleading that your title says "Entries Due 6/12" when you mean BEFORE 6/12. I got the impression it was due the day of June 12th
