Flashback (Various Dragon Ball; "HD"/Reanimated Concept)

Well this is going to be a bit of a weird weird post for me.

Hi! I'm Mike. I've run a Dragon Ball website since 1998, and I spent a good decade (of currently four total) ⁠— roughly 2000 through 2010 ⁠— living on this website, too.

I used to make a lot of AMVs (generally in cahoots with my wife). I think they were pretty good. I hadn't made an AMV in twelve years, and I just made a new one.

It's very strange poking around here over the last couple days in anticipation of entering this new video, and not recognizing any of the names I see, with the exception of a couple contest coordinators. Time makes fools of us all, I suppose!

The (extremely forced) concept for this video was "reanimated HD Dragon Ball footage". That meant not using Super or the modern (post-2013) movies as-is.

Long story short, I wanted a kind of "warm-up" experiment getting back into possibly editing more AMVs, and this was that project.

Had to do a double-take when I saw that you had posted a new video. Wild.

This is fun stuff! Don't have too much to say about it, it's a rock-solid action video that feels equal parts modern and throwback. I like it!
