I would prefer just to continue using my rechargeable AA batteries. I have 2 sets. One's dead, I can recharge them and still have another set to use. So ya, I actually with it would continue to use 2 AA batteries...

Not even backlit? Damn, definately makes it not worth it, and purchase is required to use headphones!? Definately a no no, I give this product a thumbs down. You ARE dumb. I have a come back for absolutley everything you said, and these come backs coem from facts, not opinion.

Let's try and start here.

If it was backlit, it would need a contrast switch. Front lit is better, yet it has a glare, so it's side lit, EVEN BETTER. The head phones, yes there's a pai in the ass, only bad thing i can see. Buy a GBa, power back, and a floor light? Cheaper? Uh no. GBAs are over 60 dollors I believe. And then you need to buy those kits. It'll almost come to 100. A little cheaper yes, better? NO WAY IN HELL. It's not a better controler at all, it just looks better. When you play video games on the t.v., it doesn't matter where you are, your contorler could be upside down and it doesn't matter. The present GBA screen has the absolute worst lighting EVER. You have to bend it, and tweek it, and have it in the right exact type of light for you to be able to see well. Most of the time with things like gameboys you'll get a neck cramp or something, now you get wrist cramps for having to hold your gameboy and a dumbass position the entire time you play. you practicly have to tilt the system up and away from you. The new GBA offers you a way to have the controls at what ever angle you want, and then you can just tilt the screen like on a laptop, for the proper lighting. Because like most of you are forgeting, IT IS NOT A GAMEGEAR YOU CAN TURN THE LIGHT OFF. And for all you super battery geeks out there, you all know the batteries will last longer this way. Nintendo says 10 hours a charge, w/ the light, 18 w/ out. This game boy is smaller, smaller is always a plus no matter what you're dealing with. Plus they managed to make it smaller with out downgrading the size of the screen. also for anyone that travels with their gameboys (uh duh! EVERYONE) it is a constant worry about scratching your screen. This game boy folds up all on it's own, you never have to worry about that again. I got a light sheild for my GBA, just a stupid tacky looking peice of platic, I hate it, I have tot ake it off everytime I play or it distracts me, plus the gba isn't as easily conealed under a school desk with it on. Besides this, any and every light including the light sheild ever made for the GBA SUCKED. It really didn't releave much of anything, just let you play int the dark, because like I was aying, you also need the right TYPE of light, the crappy little run off the GBA powered lights that they came out with wern't good enough, the light was yellow, you need a strong white light, like mag lights, keychains that cost 20 bucks, or a buildings lights, like school or office. And with the batterys, depending on what type, what brand, you can change how long your GBA will last, this new battery is given to you by nintendo, they garentee it'll last for atleast 3 years, and they garentee 10 - 18 hours of battery life. You pick up some dollors pack of two doubles As and you're probably looking at 4 hours, how ever you srping for the nicest energizer/duracell they make, spend 16 bucks on 4 batteries, yeah you might get the full time ninendo tells you is possible. with this new battery, you will always get the same amount of battery life. And you guys complain about having to recharge it? Use it like a cell phone, just come home, plug it in on your desk or what ever, and when you leave grab it. no one said you had to kill the battery, and recharge it fully. you don'y have to go from 0 to 100% vice versa. you play for 4 hours with the light on, you're down to 60%, so come home, and plug it in. In less than an hour and a half (it takes 3 hours to fully recharge the thing) you'll be back to 100%. It is truly rediculous some of the arguments you guys are making, and the statements too. The only valid good arguments have been: No head phone jack, and I agree with you. YES, it's smaller, and depending on the person (I my self don't care, it looks fine to me) the triggers may be hard to reach. This looks like an incredible buy to me, and I'm going to get one.

well sesce the bat is a li-ion bat I will think about upgrading my GBA. I know the Li-ion bats are really good. Right now my laptop uses a li-ion bat and it was one of this reason I choose to pay a little more for it.

MAN! I was so anoyed by all of pandas stupid ass posts, i didn't think twice about anything I said. NOT THAT WHAT'S IT'S SAYING IS WRONG. Just it's absolutley full of typos and gramerical errors. And it looks to be about a two pages typed paragraph, two pages, one paragraph.. sheesh, man if stupid people didn't go around proving ultimate knowledge of the universe, maybe they wouldn't have to be proven bad so hard. I had some kid in my french class tell me Tahiti and Bora Bora were right next to hawaii. NOTHING'S NEXT TO HAWAII. It's an entire state, every one of those islands is hawaii. anyways, I got him to go tell his "expert theory" to the teacher, because he was so sure. He made himself look like an ass in front of the entire class, and I made 20 bucks.

you complain to much about long post that are not spilted up in to multiple paragraghs. I will agree it bother some to read but you also have to look at the facts. We are typing the post fairly fast, we do not always have time to go back and look for the errors, and they are unplaned writing. Mostly it is what I call free writing and that type of writing you do not worry about paragraph and what not you getting you info down and out.

Now on the games boy it does not come out for another 2 months so no everyone has to choices who does not have a GBA either buy one now then buy another on in 2 months, buy one not and not by the new one in 2 months. or lastly wait two months a and buy the new GBA (the last option would be the hardest to anyone who likes gameboy

Also y is ever now using Megaman pics for the altvars. When I first came here I was the only one I saw that had a pic from megaman for the altvar (mines is zero) and not I seen 3 or 4 more.
