Would this be a good idea ... at all?

Post by Paul Kievits » Wed Jul 24, 2002 6:27 pm

Would sending your AMV to a musical artist (note the artist(s) himself not the record company or anything) be an idea without getting sued (so not to metallica or anything)? Basically I was thinking of sending a future AMV of mine to a group along with like a letter "you inspire me ... bla bla bla etc.". Just as a little thanks and stuff. I know I'm probably sounding like a retard now but 1:30 a.m. doesn't guarentee coherent and flawless english...

Uhhh...unless they're anime fans, I believe they'd just laugh at you. -_-;; Though they might not let you know about it.

:(

It's kind of a hard hobby to explain to someone who's not already into it.

And um, not sure if you would get sued or not.

sicne yer not making any money off of it they can't really sue ya, they can slap ya with a cease and dissist (sp) but that's not legally binding, they can penalize you themselves, like if you ran a radio station they could not send you music early to play if you broke their rules, but in reality yer cool, go for, make sure the band aint a shitty band though or i may smack you
uh... aniem rules only next to jesus?
