Anime USA 2023 AMV Contest [WINNER'S ANNOUNCED! Third Post]

Because of our long absence, we will be accepting AMVs within the last 3 years for this year only, any video made AFTER September 2020 can be submitted! If you've submitted the video to other contests, it cannot have won 3 or more major awards at previous contests.

This seems counter-intuitive. The longer a video has been around, the more likely it is to have won multiple awards. I have no problem with an awards limit, but in this case it handicaps your three-year extension. I'm just curious if that's intentional.

Doesn't seem counter intuitive to me. There are plenty of videos that my have been released over the last 3 years but not necessarily won a lot. The 2 rules actually balance each other out in my opinion

We are officially in the LAST DAY of submissions for both the contest and panels! Both have to be submitted by 11:59 PM on September 3rd! (If you're a few minutes late, that's fine, I'm operating on a college submission schedule lol)

Panels can be emailed directly to me (I'll be shooting an email to check the main panel submission form for AMV Room panels) and AMVs have their form! We're doing well in all categories so keep them coming!!

We had 118 entries submitted, though the amount of contest videos is less than that since I have about a dozen or so showcase only videos. Judging will take place through the week and I should have the finalist list up by next Sunday!

Sorry for the delay everyone, but you guys didn't make it easy! We had a whopping 121 submissions, with 6 of those being showcase only submissions, making our grand total of contest entries 115 videos! You guys really DID miss us!

For the videos that didn't make the contest, we will be showing a selection of non-finalists the hour before each contest showing. Because there were so many, not everyone's videos will be shown, but we will give it our best shot!
