By the way how many of you are planning on entering your vids into the contest this year? I plan on entering two into the contest and two into the showcase. MJ recommended that I do a Hentai amv, so that it can be shown at the Hentai Fest this year, maybe I will. I just hope they show our vid during the contest this year *remembers footage of our tape being shown during the Akon documentary* -_-

All of Nerd Studios will be there (both Macbeth and I). I'll be entering my first video, which I'm currently in the process of making. Mac'll enter either one or two, depending on whether he's done with his new one or not.

So, where do we go to meet all you guys? I suppose at the contest should be obvious enough, but does everyone get together at any other time?

As far as hotels go the Hyatt is kind of expensive, but DFW's practically out in the middle of nowhere and getting to and from another hotel can quickly become nightmarish.

If it's already sold out (probably is, but I made my reservation just a few days ago) then the A-kon staff should be booking overflow hotels pretty soon. I know that last year they had something like 3 to 5 overflow hotels, all of which had twenty-four hour shuttle service to and from the Hyatt.

I don't think we need to worry about that until a few weeks/days before con.

Wait a minute I just remembered something, if you call the hotel it might not be sold out. I remember that they had a problem with it saying it was sold out on the webpage but if you called that it wasn't. Maybe its not sold out. I would check more into it but I dont live near by so calling could get expensive. I still dont plan on staying there even if it isn't, having a close by hotel gives me an excuse to leave the con for a rest.

I plan on entering two videos. I am finishing my current video and have two ideas that I plan on premiering at ACen (my home con since I went to school at UIUC) and then probably A-kon. I hope I don't become a troll though. Then again, I guess you have to have a good video to be a troll

I *should* be able to get both done in the next 4 months since I've already done scene selection on one of them. I guess I shouldn't speak though since I haven't worked on my current video for 4 months.

Still, I don't wanna pay the Hyatt's ridiculous room prices when I can get a cheaper hotel with rats and roaches and a free 24 hour shuttle service.

I agree, its way to expensive for what we get, no pool or anything.
