most people who are funded by Microsoft end up loving the amount of freedom M$ gives them... (reference: Tim Shafer, maker of Grim Fandango, Monkey island, and full throttle, is making an xbox exclusive game called psychonauts, in which in an interview, he stated how happy he was with M$... and Dene and Simon, head of BBB makers of Fable, also stated how much they appreciated M$'s generous funding, and leeway)

Microsoft is a company just like any other... thing is, as a company they're out to benefit themselves.. and sometimes that means giving the people what they want (xbox for me) and other times thats not the case (win9x)

all companies are like that... I mean.. just look at Zelda: Wind Waker... or Ravenblade (game that was cancelled by Retro studios), or even Final Fantasy from now since part 8... Companies can and will disappoint if they don't see any down turn to it..

Money Talks louder than Loyalty in business.. thankfully most of the time... Loyalty goes hand in hand with success of a brand name... other times, thats not the case.. and Money comes in and trashes peoples expectations of a franchise..

just my opinion of course.. but I dunno of any company that made a quality title that I enjoy that hasn't disappointed me atleast once..

Ok number 1 I just got an xbox and it kicks ass! Of course I have this kickass pc I built so the games on xbox are for when I want to chill in front of my 36 inch tv. As for Rare they gave Nintendo most of their good stuff. Nintendo has a long history of worry about numero uno and screwing developers. From the days when they made developers promise to only make games for thier systems and liscense each cartridge to when they fucked over square. People like to be appreciated for the work they do and Nintendo did not appreciate Rare. As for microsoft they have never done me wrong. Oh and as for which system is better well this reminds me of the days when we used to fight over which was better Atari or Intellivision.
