  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Crashing through the roof and landing just in time for the...uh...VCA? , Akira Under My Skin returns to the world of the downloadables again.

Oh and yeah, enjoy! :D

Ok, since you asked me so nicely in that mesage you sent to me, I'm gonna check out your vid. Got to warn you though, I'm not a big fan of Akira. I tried watching it but couldn't seem to stay interested in it (I don't know why, maybe I'm just weird  ).

But anyway, once I've finished downloading it I'll give you a quick review (geez, 60Mb? gonna take a while even with my 512K connection 8) ).

And while I've got your attention, check out mine first try at AMVs:

and tell me what you think.

Heh. Fear not. It is not your typical Akira vid. Thanks.

Damnit!

How many people are downloading my vid? I didn't think it was THAT popular.

As for the Akira vid, its cool. Its nice to see a vid that uses a true classic song for a change. Bonus points just for that.

Timing is sooo spot on, I don't think you could get any better with that. More bonus points for you.

And lastly, the vid fits the song very well. Excellent job there. And yet more bonus points.

All in all, original, excellent vid with lots of bonus points.
Very well done.

Keep trying with my vid, you might be able to catch it when the servers not so busy.

Oh and I got your vid.

I'm not sure if I should comment or not, since I'll readily admit I haven't seen a single episode of DB, and I am completely clueless as to who's who at all, so perhaps I'm not really the most suitable person to comment on the content, but interesting that you had an 'introduction' sequence.

Technically however I suppose, it looked like the song used could do with either a little more cuts/effect or more active footage but the pace is okay overall, and it is your first try.

As for my vid, from a person who didn't quite get into Akira, that you enjoyed it is great praise (with bonus points too  ). Thanks! ^_^

Ok, better stop before this thread gets moved to the opinion exchange forum. :D
