An unofficial Direct Connect file trading client. Useful for getting digisubs and other shit.

DC++ is kind of iffy on the Direct Connect network, since some hubs don't like its multi-sourcing (and hence multiple download slot taking) aspects, among other things.

Actually there sir DC++ doesn't have mutli-sourcing.

The problem is the DC network operates with people setting up hubs. Little servers that run off their computer. They setup certain options such as the minimum share allowed and the minimum # of "SLOTS" open.

The usual minimum slots is 2. With the original DC you can only connect to one hub at a time. So those 2 slots are available to only the people on that hub.

With DC++ you can connect to MANY hubs and still only share two slots. So you can be connected to five hubs, but instead of having ten slots open you only have two. So

It's looked down apon as such because it's mainly a leechers tool for not having to share as much as everyone else.

so it's like a file sharing thing?
and you'll need this if you were to run a little server for yourself?

Yeah it's basically a file sharing app, there is a separate server/hub app if you want to setup your own server.

Most servers operate on a specific category.
