I use my avatar because it is just so fvcking cool. I mean, hell, a VW transformer for an avatar, that is just teh cool.

I use my avatar cuz not that many people know it and so I am not affiliated with a specific character, very little indulgent logic but there you go, plus it's really cute and I couldn't be bothered looking for another one.
