If the detected IP address displayed on the TZO client window is other than 0.0.0.0 or 128.0.0.1, then maybe the server is working correctly. For example, the address for my comp detected by TZO is 202.188.1.nnn and is working fine.

Using notepad, create a text file called "test.htm" and put some text in it, example:

<html><head></head><body><p>This is a test</p></body></html>

Save "test.txt" in your _server root dir_
(for example "c:\musicvideos")

Run the web server, enter the link to "test.htm" in your web browser
(for example "http://www.cataclysm.tzo.com/test.htm")

.: The browser should return "This is a test"

If you still fail at this point then maybe you should ask for help at TZO BBS.


Need I remind you that TZO only allows you to run http webserver for only 30 days. After that you have to look for other free http/ftp service. I recommend that after you managed to run tzo correctly, spend the rest 20 days learning to set up ftp server with guildftpd. If you have Qs or problems, better go to guildftp messageboard and ask there than a-m-v.org b/c not many of us here are tecchie nerds and english literate.
