Katsucon AMV Brunch?

Looking over the schedule and taking other peoples' time considerations into account, etc., it looks as though a good time for a gathering (not a binge drinking fest which IS a turnoff to some...) would be 11AM Saturday.

What's at 11AM Saturday? Nothing, really. The AMV screening will be finishing up, and the J-GOHs won't be running panels or having autograph sessions until 1. Therefore, this would be a great time to find a Denny's or other decent place to eat (I apologize now, I have a thing about IHOPs, don't even suggest one) and get brunch, swap CDs, etc. Since this is on Saturday it'll be when the most people are around, as well as the added bonus of being early so people won't be doing too much, AND they should be sober/recovering nicely from the previous night.

So, I guess, this is the event. RSVP here.

Sounds good to me.

I don't particularly like the schedule overall, all told. There's too many things I'd like to go to that conflict with other things (AMV panel/Dual Jewel concert, Dance/Dead Piro Sketch... though with my wife not around, I should probably go to the Dead Piro Sketch :p ).

Looking over the schedule- what exactly is "Music Videos: Unleaded"? Is that the videos that didn't make the finals?

No idea re: MV Unleaded. I think it's a few hours of Jpop videos or something...

Food good. Probably the only time I'll have solid food. Might as well do it as a group. Just make sure it's someplace close, or even in the hotel. I don't wanna go back out into the real world until the con is over. WEIRD PEOPLE ARE OUT THERE!

Um...do you guys remember the hotel at all? There are two places to eat within walking distance: MacDonald's and some diner. I'm not taking my car out of the garage, because then I'll get charged twice.

But yeah, 11 AM is damn early after the festivities of Friday night.

I think 11am is doable for me since I'll try to make the 9am amv showing. But I doubt that I'll actually be up by 9, so I hope my video isn't first which it would be if the contest is in alphabetical order. (hmmm, here I need an emoticon of someone having to wake up early with a hangover)
