Why should he really have to know them in person. I know a lot of people I've never met that could easily do a better job than some that lurk around in some of the forums... Trust isn't physical...

Oh I be they do more than lick ass, and since he knows them there isn't the SLIGHTEST bossibility of there being ANY bias or special treatment. And I am sure they have PLENTY of modding experience, but I say a mod shoudl be judged by his feedback and what people think of him. Because after the 9 billionth thread complaining about the mods behaviour exactly when should it sink in that MAYBE they are doing something wrong? (or maybe they think they are doing it right, who knows with these people.)
