I plan to see it (hopefully). I'd also like to say that rating it R is bullshit. There are a quite a few PG-13 movies that are as bad or worse than it.

Terrorism, The fight on the train with Vincent, other stuff, its not much but pretty graphic, I guess it amounts to an R rating, I can still go see it regardless :D

Another thing, I just found out an INteresting fact. I thought A different voice actor was doing the role of spike for Cowboy Bebop the Movie. I saw this at a very reliable Anime new source web site. People kept saying it was still David Lucas, So I looked it up. Turns out David Lucas goes by A different name for Union Project and David for Non-Union project. I dont even think David Lucas is his real name...

I've seen plenty of PG-13 movies with violence more graphic than that. Two guys gettign shot in the head doesn't even mesure up to jurasic park.

There are some sexual situations in it. Plus, shooting a cop in the head and the whole terrorism thing. Probably though it was cause this is animated, and parents wouldn't think that a "cartoon" could have any kind of bloody violence. The rating is probably so that these parents would have fair warning that it was intended for a more mature audience.
