2nd Annual Berry College Animation Festival

Post by Spig » Mon Mar 10, 2003 10:04 pm

My college, Berry College near Rome, GA, is going to be hosting the 2nd Annual Berry College Animation Festival (BCAF) on April 12th — courtesy of the Animation Appreciation Club here on campus. We'll have video games, animé, non-Jap animation, animé goodies provided by Animé Pavilion, and a special guest: Tiffany Grant, whose work involves doing the English voice of Asuka Langley from Evangelion and 70+ different voice acting roles.

Everything should be self-explanitory concerning signing up for this convention. We need 10 or more registrations to keep this thing afloat, and the deadline is the end of this week! Sign up if you love animé!

UPDATE

Well, it's the end of the week. Is BCAF still alive?

The answer is………YES!

I just got back from talking to the animé club president, and he has said that planning for BCAF will still go on. Therefore, any more pre-registrations I can get would be great.

Later,

Being an Atlanta resident I think it's cool a second anime event is up and running. One question, though. Is there going to be anything dealing with AMVs going on at the festival? I can understand why you wouldn't want to run a contest or anything as complex as that (it is a one day event, after all) but various showings, even if only between major showings in the video room, would be nice. Especially since you posted on an AMV forum :D

Atlanta resident and Apple user. I like you already. :D

Personally, I can't divulge much more about the event. Though I do think there's an AMV room or two.

Gimme a minute so I can cut 'n' paste my animé club's Faculty Advisor's campus-wide e-mail. His words are a bit more informative.
