Anyone who supports this war is a fucking idiot. Doesn't anyone understand that THIS COULD BE IT? This could be THE BIG ONE, The war to end all wars, not to mention all life on this PLANET? Doesn't anyone care?? All you people who think war is a good thing: Fuck the lot of you. Fuck you all. You are all no better than Adolf Hitler, you sadistic motherfuckers. I don't care WHO this pisses off, because I have a RIGHT to stand up for my beliefs. If you love war that much, join the motherfucking defense force and get SHOT, so we dont have to listen to your sadistic garbage anymore.
You know, I grieve at the fact that it has come to this yet again. Not a century can go by where someone doesn't attack someone else in the name of peace. I guess my constant rants about not having a stable, enjoyable, and fear-free life don't go unmotivated, do they.

Boy you sure are an open minded person aren't you? Anyway I stated what I beleive is a perfectly reasonable reason to go to war. Now please tell me how can this be "The big one" Saddam does not have nukes!!! No intelligence agency says he has nukes. He is trying to develeop them! He has no missles that can hit us. He can barely hit isreal that is where all his stuff is aimed. One of the things we are stopping here is his missle delivery technology. He desepreratley would like to be able to hit us. Lets go farther North korea has said they may have a nuke but there is no evidence to back up that claim. They like Iraq for some insane reason are spending their money trying to develeop them. Heres what it all comes down to I don't understand how anybody can be against this war! Unless you are total pacifist who is agaisnt all wars. Because this war is definitley just.

*Gets all teary-eyed* Majin...Banana...i love you both very much. All this time during the chaos that is my daily life, i thought i was the only one of my generation to care what happens in the long term to humanity as a whole. You guys just made my day. You really did. 8)
As for those that wish for war, did you ever think that if humanity progresses too much in the way of weapons, we might actualy wipe ourselves out? Naah, people that like war never think that far ahead, if they did, they wouldn't be fighting in the first place, now would they?
ONE MORE THING!!!!
~This is for all you warmongers out there, take this as you see fit~
You want a war, fine, go make war, but fight the war your damn self instead of using someone else's kids to act out your manhood fantasies you bunch of pussies! Quit hiding behind other people and get on the front line yourself and then tell me how glorious war is when you see everyone around you dying for a stupid ass cause.
If i am banned for feeling like this, so be it, i said how i feel just like everyone else. And should i be banned from posting again, it was nice knowing those of you that made my time here so wickedly awesome. 8)

If there is a war, it won't last more than a month or two. Iraq is no match for the empire.
Anyone who thinks that nuclear weapons should even be considered in this conflict should really look things over one more time. Iraq does not have nuclear weapons. They want them, but they don't have them. If a nuke is fired during this conflict it will be fired by the U.S. and they will only use it if they see they're losing....again. This will bring with it a whole new world of shit, but what can anyone really do about it? The U.N. was put in its place. The world knows who really runs the show. It's all a matter of time really.
But for those of you who can't get over this "IT'S THE END OF THE WORLD!" fetish, how about you go out and have a good time. It would be a shame if you lived your last days posting on a discussion forum with a bunch of strangers.

This is the truest statement i've heard so far since the discussion started.

Before I go ahead and say what I'm going to say, I'd like to mention I hate war. I'd like to say I'm against this "possible" war. I don't believe in Bush and I am actually terrified of him. Any PRESIDENT who says that we should put more faith in "the lord" than our own government is just frightening.
Oh, and I missed the speech last night due to passing out early.
I also know not everyone reading/involved with this thread is American - for the most part I'm addressing Americans (although I have nothing against other countries - and this includes France), especially the last bit.
That being said, do any of you know why we're going against Iraq? Yes, on the surface, it seems that we're going after the wrong guy in order to get the right guy. The thing is, we've either killed or have in custody all the right guys from 9/11. And we more than likely won't see a retalliation anytime soon because, as Bill Maher so elequently put it, "They live in FUCKING CAVES." They aren't going to be firing missles. Hussein, on the other hand, has that possibility.
The fact that Saddam has the CHANCE to fire anything at us is why we're going to war. Now, yes, many other countries have the chance to fire missles, but Iraq is the ONLY one that signed an AGREEMENT saying that he would remove ALL WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION. Including missles and elements of chemical warfare. This agreement was signed twelve years ago after the Gulf War. He still hasn't followed through, based on UN regulations.
So yes, we are going to be the cops of the world. But considering Japan dismantled it's army after WWII due to UN regulations and a similar agreement, does Iraq not have to follow rules? Allowing Sadam to get away with this sets a bad example - we would basically be telling him he can do whatever we want, INCLUDING slaughter an entire religion he doesn't agree with.
This is why there will be a war. Because someone didn't follow the rules, could very possibly kill millions of people, and the entire world seems to have forgotten about it.
All this being said, these are my personal thoughts: I'm an isolationist. A shut-in if you will. I say pull out of the entire world. I say fuck em. Everyone hates America, I don't care, hate me all you want. I believe we should keep to ourselves completely. Be nice to other countries, still deal with import/export. Trade is all good, no one has a problem with that. I don't care about anything we've signed allowing us to sit our Freedom Fries asses on someone's fucking backyard. GET OUT. Come back home and sit here. Let the rest of the world sort its problems out. When THEY bring the war to US, THEN get all aggressive. I mean, for christ's sake, we have a law in our own country that says if someone hits someone else first, they are liable and should be arrested! Is that not what we're about to do?! All this while North Korea is a bigger threat than anyone... none of it makes sense. So I'm an isolationist, leave the rest of the world alone.
But... I would still like the ability to visit other cultures.
Okay, I'm done.

Nightowl you make some good points, but you're overlooking something very important, I believe. Iraq is deliberately breaking the rules, rules that went into effect after they lost war with US. So shouldn't we take it up to make sure they uphold their end of the bargain? No? Then WHO should make sure they hold it up? Apparently no one else will, cause thats whats happened. So what if they got some damn weapons, eh? Who cares, I mean they haven't attacked us or anything. Do you really WANT us to wait and go to war AFTER they attack us? Do you remember how terrible 9-11 was? This is like if you saw a teenage boy building pipe bombs in his garage. You haven't seen him use them. But is it not your responsibility to report him BEFORE they get used? In the case of the US and Iraq, no one else is willing to police them, so we have to be the ones to do it. We've given Iraq 12 damn years to clean up their act. I'd say we've been pretty damned patient.
