I think burning oil is reason enough for the US to get Sadam. It is a crime against humanity to waste a precious natural resource like that. We only have a limited amount of it. And the new infomations about Russia has been giving the Iraqis night vision goggles and airplane electronic scramblers doesnt surprise me either. Once a communist always a communist.

That was what I meant by mentioning the the war crimes treaty. It is one of those things like the Geneva that give you rules for conduct. But in a war, where murder is no longer defined by the presence of self defense, and in a situation where survival (basic instincts) take over....how can you govern those actions?

Evaluation of conduct afterwards and logged POW's are another matter.

All is not fair in war, at least, not according to the Geneva Convention
Article 13

Prisoners of war must at all times be humanely treated. Any unlawful act or omission by the Detaining Power causing death or seriously endangering the health of a prisoner of war in its custody is prohibited, and will be regarded as a serious breach of the present Convention. In particular, no prisoner of war may be subjected to physical mutilation or to medical or scientific experiments of any kind which are not justified by the medical, dental or hospital treatment of the prisoner concerned and carried out in his interest.

Likewise, prisoners of war must at all times be protected, particularly against acts of violence or intimidation and against insults and public curiosity.

Measures of reprisal against prisoners of war are prohibited.

Article 14

Prisoners of war are entitled in all circumstances to respect for their persons and their honour. Women shall be treated with all the regard due to their sex and shall in all cases benefit by treatment as favourable as that granted to men. Prisoners of war shall retain the full civil capacity which they enjoyed at the time of their capture. The Detaining Power may not restrict the exercise, either within or without its own territory, of the rights such capacity confers except in so far as the captivity requires.
Rules only apply to those who follow them. Those who care nothing of the rules and dont want to lose will do as they see fit, regardless.

I believe he was speaking of Russia, although I see no reason for anyone to attack Russia verbally.

Are you guys talking about the stuff that's found in the Bramuda Triangle and the bottom of the sea in a few other places? Doesn't that stuff explode over a certain tempature?

 I would not drive a car powered by that. Not in a million years, I'd rather walk and get run over than drive a car powered by that.
I have never made but one prayer to God, a very short one: 'O Lord, make my enemies ridiculous.' And God granted it.

Never explain--your friends do not need it and your enemies will not believe you anyway.

Money can't buy friends, but it can get you a better class of enemy.

I know he was talking about russia, I just don't see the connection between communism and helping Iraq, other than "OMG Russia = Soviet = Red = EVIL = Saddam LOLOLOLO."
I like bugging people. Deal with it.
