it all depends on how they use it. If they cna integrate it wiht the story then thats great, if not and they jsut throw in a bunch of blood and gore for no reason ... then thats just sensless, thats like hollywood showing partial nudity of well known celeberties when it has nothing at all to do with the story to boost the sales and revenue at the box office ... now i'm kinda hard pressed at finding examples of this hapening but i do belive that it's ahppened several times. Plus the last thing i want to see is an anime version of rambo ...

jsut so no one gets confused, i wasn't talking about an actual anime version of rambo ... i mean anime that follows the general theme of rambo, guy that runs around in front of 10^339175 men with machine guns and manages to kill them all with a stick or a rock with out being hit by a single bullet, while having absolutly nothing to do with the movie's story or plot development ... i think you get what i'm talking aobut with out all my ranting ... but what wound be funny is an anime version of sylvester stalones face ... plus it would be ineteresting to hear what a japanese version of his voice would sound like ... ok, i'm done rambling tonight ... good night every one ... oh and happy belated birthday kthulu ... or however you spell your name.PyrotheUnforgiven wrote:Anime version of Rambo... As Propyro has already said, I don't think this is a question you can just say "yes or no" like you're presenting it as. If the violence has a point and is done well, then that's fine. It's all a matter of if it necessary for the plot and done tastefully. For example, Berserk is a very violent anime, but these scenes are a necessary part of Berserk since it is a violent TV show. Same thing for some of the scenes in Evangelion.PyrotheUnforgiven wrote:I believe you can never have enough blood and gore...
Now if something like Ah! My Goddess had a huge violent and gory scene, that just wouldn't fit.

yea, i don't like james bond too much either ... the guy gets all these amazing gagets that one could wreak so much havoc with and he never uses them ... well maybe once at most ... plus if any spy were to try to act liek james bond and actualy survives a mission, his own agency would probably arrest him, or assasinate him.El Banana wrote:Rambo kicked ass.
I saw it when I was 6, and I still loved it.
And I'd rather see a guy runninig in the woods killing 10,000 men with a stick than seeing another James Bond movie. But that's just me.
