Sorry for the double post but I forgot to add:

Liberals are not those who do not support Bush. Liberals are a political party with various views. Where those views line up with Bush's agenda (which isn't a whole lot) they should support him and for the most part do. Since we are at war, it is important for the country to stand unified, and the overwhelming majority of liberals understand that - thus they boo'ed Michael Moore off the stage.

He's a sick asshole end of story. I remember way way back lets talk maybe 88 or before he came out with Roger and me. A film about the Auto industry in flint michigan and how corporate greed was causing it to shutdown factorys etc. It was utter crap and all the auto magazines ripped it apart. This guy is so full of himself its pathetic. Yes he made an out of place speech to a crowd full of morons anyway and they still booed him. Hollywood is so far left that I can't stand to watch any of thier films. And they still knew this guy was too much of an asshole for them. His latest rant was a film against guns what a shithead.

Wait... Don't award shows suck in the first place? At least the guy is saying something other than "WOO, I ROCK. AWSOME THAT I WON!" in one of many ways. Geez, just get over the fact that some guy you do not know said he opposes the war and the fact that Bush is in office.

Oh man, I should've seen that speech comming, I mean we talked about it in History today(not that it has anything to do with history, but war is in history, which lead to the subject) that his movie was about how easy it is for kids/people to get hold of guns. At least, that's what I remember. I admit he was very courageos, but I mean come on! Do you think he's even going to be at the oscar's next year(on a more personal note, the oscars don't have any real categorys, I checked the winners and it didn't look like they had much to give out =/..)? People who do that kind of crap are the kind of people you NEVER want to see again. And speaking of the Dixi Chicks girl, as soon as I heard, I thought "Well there goes their career in the toliet..". It just shows what some people will do to be heard, even giving up all their fourtune and fame.

I enjoyed "Bowling For Columbine", and thought it had some interesting points, although I do wonder why he didn't mention anything about Siwtzerland in it. Maybe it killed some of his points, who knows?

(Switzerland, for those not in the know, requires all eligible civilian males to keep a fully automatic rifle, the sort of weapon that gives anti-gun zealots heart attacks in civilian hands, in their homes. Swiss citizens can easily buy other firearms, including surplus anti-aircraft cannons. Despite probably being the most heavily armed nation in Europe, gun related death is very low).

Anyhow, his speech was gutsy I guess, although I don't really care what happens at the Oscars.
I'm out...

I played guitar in front of a crowd and they cheered me on, so I bit the head off of a bat.

I read all of this and I was somewhat stunned, I am drawn to believing this article even though I quite liked the film.
I now have my doubts about Michael Moore but he will always be the person who got me thinking, even if he is just a beginners introduction into questioning the system I still think he does something alright. Alright he may bend, distort or totally destroy the truth but at least it makes people consider what is going on in their society enough to investigate. So a few people will end up hating the NRA unjustifiably but I think that most of the people that see any of Michael's work will still have a mind of their own and it will perhaps give them a desire to find out more about what is really happening.
I used to be totally drawn by Moore's work but now-a-days I would rather read a well layed out and logical essay than an emotional documentary with hype and humour mixed to get a point across but I can still enjoy something like Bowling now and then.
Okay hack shit on him for being a fraud but it is not as if he is telling people to do horrible things or promoting something that is detrimental to the community, he still fights for a reasonable cause just his methods are somewhat dubious.
