Slayers is ok but its $300 per box set and there are 3 boxsets so yeah. But other then that yeah slayers is good, Trigun...im more into storyline anime's and such so Gundam Wing, a whole bunch of OVA's or OAV's whichever way you prefer it to be said. --; It really depends what kind of stuff your into, im more into storyline and like cheesy love stuff lol, so i cant stand DBZ but i think somethin like Love Hina is good --;; So yeah it depends. You already have my first 2 favorite's in your list, CB and NGE, my third personal favorite is Trigun so maybe you could check that out, its alot like CB in its own way.

You should refer to the other threads like "Favorite anime series" and best of different genres.

As I said in one the other threads (in order):
1) Vision of Escaflowne (jack of all traits..all genres in it: Fantasy, mecha, romance, drama, comedy, action, etc.)
2) Neon Genesis Evangelion (great story, even better characters)
3) Rurouni Kenshin (Samurais, feudal Japan...and not that crappy butchered CN crap)
4) Cowboy Bebop (episodic in nature with slight theme throughout)
5) Gundam Wing (Mecha and political turmoil)
6) Ah! My Goddess (Romantic Comedy)
7) Record of the Lodoss Wars (Fantasy)
8) His and Her Circumstances (Romantic Comedy)
9) Berserk (action and character driven)
10) Initial D (Cars...sounds weird, but sort of like a fighting anime with cars instead).

Based on what you like, you should check out the appropriate ones .

i thought FLCL was pretty good, So far kare kano is pretty interesting too. Trigun's also very good. I've only seen one episode of lain, but it seems interesing, though the animation isn't anything to marvel at. This isn;t exactaly anime, but The Maxx is very weird/interesting too.

non hentai/nudity ... well you sorta have to seperate those things. theres creative nudity that fits in the story ... eg. Eva, or at least i thought it worked in the story. Then theres hentai ... random tentacle beast attacks a girls college dorm ... i don't know, the fact that you mentioned Eva, which has a bit of nudity and asked for series that don't show nudity/hentai i don';t know, i guess it's jsut my nature to nit pick ... never mind ... just ignore this ... one of these days i'll stop posting on the forums when i'm half a sleep ... i guess what i ws thinking of is try not to jam two opposing extremes into the same catagory/tearm. man this is off topic ... good night guys.

If you're gonna go for a Gundam series I'm gonna have to say go with 0080...the end of this one really hits hard, but it's also very well done.

Also, original MSG and, when it comes out, Zeta Gundam, are both recommendable (don't let MSG's older animation throw you)

I agree with the comment of the older animation since Older Gundam can be good (Stardust Memories comes to mind). However, I *very* much dislike 080: War in the Pocket. I found it QUITE boring. I know it's about war and all that, but it's still boring too.
