Said it before, but you mean "Kimba the White Lion."

"Kimba, I mean Simba..."
-The Simpsons
i thought it was an extention of that. :)
Nope, just pointing out how "Loin King" sounds like a porno...as the statement exactly said haha.

Mr Oni
arg, you guys are all talkiung about that book! danm it i had the the whole set of books from chronicles of narnia and i lost that one! so i've read every one but that book danm it ... i want to find it now! But of the books i read, i'm not sure, maybe a horse and his boy, or the silver chair ... no not that one ... the one where reep-e-cheep the talking mouse decides to go for a boat ride past the ocean ... and dissapears ... i liked that one too, oh hell i don't know, they were all good books.

As for the threads real topic ... well you can ask why for any thing ... why bother with computers, why bother with TV, why bother working. If you sit there and dissect these things in you mind long enough you'll just wind up unraveling the very concept of these things and see them as transparent distractions to the bleakness of life which have no real purpose, and often only prolong our search for self-actualization (Mazlow's hiearchy) or enightenment (eastern philosophy) or whatever the hell your looking for ... gee that sounded awfully pessemistic ... oh well ... good night.

i'd have to say the fact that they come up with really great stories and characters. i mean it's to the effect of reading really great books only with everything already drawn out and everything. i also like it for the fact that it allows me to escape reality for a bit. that's all. Sayonara.

I'm a recent convert to anami, growing up i hated it i blame voltron i hated that show with such a passion. But about a year and a half ago i stumbled onto cowboy bebop on cartoon network and I was hooked after one episoed. And now with every passing day i'm getting into more titles and becomeing a greater fan of anime.

I basically agree with dwchang.

However I would also like to add that being into art it also help me to appreciate in other levels as well.

Anime just seems like a vast combination of all my interests, RPGs, films, music, art, novels, etc.

I like how it can do things other stuff cant, great stories and nice people. I dont like how it changes, like the drawings, sounds/voices.
