New X video done!

It's not that it plays certain files that I don't want it to or anything, I always set up my file associations, its the spyware. I know they've gone through some recent changes in their priacy policy but in my eyes they've left me with a bad first impression. If there are some great vids out there in rm. format then I guess I miss out because of my stubborness... BTW how long is your AMV?

My vid is 8:05. Its to metallica-one. Done to G.I.Joe the Movie. It should be up my the afternoon today. The file is loading onto a server as i am typing this. But the videos info is all up already, but the link wont work until this afternoon. If you want all the info on it here is the link.

i just think .rm sucks PERIOD!!! sure it compress' good but quality gets shot to shit.

XviD is the way to go!!!!! if i were to convert to mpeg, i crank up the bitrate to 3000kbps for a nice, crips, clean encode.

XviD hates me >< I can't get it to work well for me ever ><

Divx on the other hand I can get nice clean decent sized encodes with.

I however, prefer Mpeg over all other file types for AMV downloads...

It's universal and works on almost everyones computers ^^

I wasnt a fan of realmedia before either, but after trying to encode my videos in every possible format, realmedia gave me the best picture with the best filesize. I wouls love to have my videos up in the mpeg4 avi or mpeg 1 files, but i dont have that much hosting room, and like i said my newest video was 250MB avi and is now only 58.9MB in .rm, and the quality still looks great. Yes i know most .rm look like crap, but thats for a reason, people dont know how to compress for shit!!!!

There are lots of X TV AMV's out there. But I'm also making one. I don't care if it's sensible or not. Making AMV's should be fun!

I dont like .rm because of the player and frankly the company. I know it can be just as good as MPEGs but still... its real media
