Anyways, I don't know about this. It'd just make things way too... competitive, and probably discourage too many people. I like Roke's Earthbound idea better. However, if you do end up making this forum, I'm so in.

hmm.. it sounds a little retarted with the whole gym thing.. and kind of sounds like you need some better rpgs than pokemon for inspiration

no offense of course! Just saying.
The earthbound idea is cool, mostly because earthbound kicks the ass all over every other rpg.
Right now I'm working on one for my VB end of the year game project, with structural basis in earthbound, pokemon, and sailor moon another story, because every other rpg is gay. It's got no plot or otherwise relations to those games, but the gfx, sound, battle and stats engines are all ripoffs of them.

We did Weakest Otaku at Anime North last spring, but no video.
