Forget inspiration, what do you do... for motivation?

I have ideas in my head that I know are capable of winning awards, I have everything captured on my computer and ready to go... but right now... I'm lacking motivation.... with the AX deadline less than 15 days away, I can't seem to get my rear out of gear and get cranking on the silly video... *grumbles*

So what motivates you to create AMV's?

There's your first mistake.

Ideas I'm sure are great, but you tend to lose alot of motivation if you are strickly trying to win awards and not make AMVs on your own terms

(I'm not kidding...something about listening to tracks like Storm and Hagane no Messiah enough times generally seems to restore the urge to do these things...can't explain why, but if it ain't broke, don't fix it)

Yeah, I think it's all about the music. I have been working on the same video for 2 years now, and I keep on working on it, because I LOVE the song and the anime so I just never get tired, no matter how many times I scrap it and start over.
Rule of thumb for creating award winning AMVs:
Do what's fun for you, the audience willenjoy it, because they are just as nerdy as you.

When I'm not motivated, I watch my favorite videos made by other people. That usually makes me wanna edit.
