Saishuuheiki Kanojo's = she the ultimate weapon right?
i saw that, and that made me hella cry..
I got to the 10th ep, and i was like.. ooooh f**k.
when the friend died, jesus christ she kept screaming, it was horrible.

I started this thread probably before i saw it. Ayu's last wish was pretty sad but She the ultimate weapon kinda over shadows the kenshin. After watching that show i didn't talk for a day.

Actually I found the ending of Evangelion (both TV and movie) quite uplifting. If you watlked away feeling sad, I think you missed the point and what happened at the ending altogether.

personaly, i cant say the ending of EOE, was that uplifting (there were moments in the film that were uplifting ie asuka finaly finding her mother) however, the series is totaly other matter, it actualy brought me out of the downward spiral my life was taking (thought my life hasnt got any better, its just kinda leveled off, cant go much lower i guess)

Well then Anno was successful in his project. I hear Eva was made (in his head) while he was in a depression as well. I hear this is his "answer" and whatnot. You could say that all of us are Shinji in a way and we all need to realize the things he did...live our lives regardless of the hurt, etc. etc.

ah yes, but life was simpler before realising these truths....but i guess there is a plus side to facing reality....you dont need to keep running, hey, did anno ever snap out of his depresion??

Oh yeah, kind of happens when you have millions of dollars j/k...or am I?

Either way, he obviously got over *some* things since he made Eva and it evident that he has this mentality about life (which I think is a positive one).

a lot of people are happy with rediculus amount of money.....i would, hey, with that money, id probrably be able to afford every re release of eva for the next 40 years..........actually, the money might not even go that far

I only have 2 right now due to my lack of money and watching CN and seeing anime:

Evangelion series: Rei sacrificing herself to save Shinji and Asuka from the 16th Angel...

End of Evangelion: Asuka getting killed by the MP's and then getting ripped apart like a chicken leg getting a bite taken from it...

Then made me feel bad and realize how life REALLY is... Went through a missive depression that month...

Mobile Suit Gundam Movie III:
-Lalah Sun's Death - One of those moments that, had seen bits and pieces of before, and I knew it was gonna happen, but still...when it actually did, it hit harder than I thought it would....

0080: War In The Pocket
-Bernie's death attempting to destroy the Alex - This one still gets to me without fail. Strangely it's not so much the actual event that does it, but the aftermath...as soon as Al started breaking down outside the school, I started choking up.

Laputa: Castle In The Sky
-For some reason the scene where the military blasts that robot right in front of Sheeta gets to me...can't really explain why, it just does

Cowboy Bebop:
End of ep 24 (the background music really makes this scene as effective as it is)

And others I'm probably forgetting...ah well

The saddest moment in anime was the final episode of Cowboy Bebop. I won't tell you the details (spoils the ending for those who haven't seen), but it is the final scene of that episode. When I saw it, my heart sank. I got soooo depressed; I didn't know what to think or say. I was speechless. ::cry:: And yes, episode 23 was sad too, not as sad as 25 (the last episode).
