I would have to say Ryu, if it's only hand to hand combat, meaing no swords, knives, hidden guns (trigun), etc,

and as for anyone that says dbz, i don't want to start a fight but everyone from dbz eats crap, why? its very simple, the people fron dbz are very strong, ill give them that, but it takes them literaly dayz on end of screming and yelling just to get off one attack. so i really doubt they would be able to do anything before someone got the brains to walk up to them and kick the crap out of them, instead of waiting for them, staring at them, but doing notthing at all except waiting to die.

I must agree with the frist post but I think Kenchin is a pretty desent fighter himself, and what about Yuske Yurameshi(sp?) From Yu Yu Hasushu(sp?), Or what's that dude with the third eye's name?! I forgot!!!! Oh crap! Well he's good as well. No wait Kumara (same as a bove) And the fox dude it's starts with a K as well I'm soo bad with name's he's not bad himself!!!! And let's see what about................ hum......... Inu-yasha?! Or Sesshormarru(sp?) (I call him Sessie easier to spell!!! LOL) OR How about Vash The Stampede?! And Millie well not really her but she pacts quite a punch!!! San?! OK I'm done as you can see I have alot of idea's!!!!! LOL If ya know of an anime that's worth wile to look into e-mail me!!! And once the best fighter is finally deistied(sp?) E-mail me as well!!! Please and thankyou!!!

meh... I think that ikki and the others are way better than seiya, if u look in the series, Seiya always need the help of his friends to win a battle.

And To DWchang, what u said about seujiro and shishio being better fighters than kenshin, well yeah i have to agree; on Kenshin's battle with seujiro he won only because he use his mind to confuse the poor boy, and on the battle with shishio; shishio only had 15 minutes to fight at his full strenght so thats clearly a handicap for him. And also i think that shougo could kick kenshin's ass too.

What about Sazuka ( spelling) from Outlaw Star..I thought that she kicked some asss...and those 108 suns ( i think ) they were kool but they used magic.

Vaughn was kool but I liked Dilandau's atitude.
