I've never seen a kindergardner of 1st grader read Harry Potter

Sure lots of kids read with their parents, but that's very diffrent.

Plus, all the kids i do know of that read harry Potter are all too old for Alice In Wonderland.

the kids I know readinh HP are like 4th and 5th graders.

Well the closest thing I could think of for kids today would be something like tales of a 4th grade nothing whatever age group that is. Btw have you seen Educational books from back then? They are alot bigger and get straight to the point than todays books.

No I could see it being written for children, but I thought the original ideas (that he obviously made into a book) came from a drug-induced hallucination. Also, although I did not take the course in HS (Great books and film), I hear there are quite a few meaningful things within both of them.

Hehe even without the drug references I still love the books they are among my favorites. Imagine being introduced to your food before you eat it! That would freak me out.

Yes. Caroll was a huge Opium addict. Much of what he wrote was based on his hallucinations. It also explains the numerous drug references within Alice in Wonderland.

BTW I find it quite disturbing that a topic like THIS might be the one to reach the record. Really goes to show where our minds are. Then again the last few posts have been about classic literatures which I find to be quite the opposite of the topic (yay!).
