yes it dose seem to be a bit eposidic so far, but i don't think it'll get as bad as the first half of trigun where you get to watch a new villian of the week squash get squashed by vash. Well thats kind of neccessary to see how he solves problems with out trying to hurt people, but still, at least the series makes that u-turn.

I agree, although still good, i believe some of the eps are a little too rushed and neatly ended. If there was a little more mystery behind the characters, or if the last ep kept you in suspense for the next... then Cowboy bebop would be amzing in my books.Alucard_FoN wrote:I like it, but it's a little too episodic for me. I prefer continuity in my shows, which is why my favorite bebop eps are the ones dealing with Spike and Vicious.

Totally agree. I like giant, big and epic stories like those found in Escaflowne and Rurouni Kenshin (hence why they're my favorites). However, Bebop does the episodic (bounty-per-episode) thing so well that I can't help, but say it's really good. I generally (like you) don't like episodic stuff since it's just like US cartoons (25 minute stories), which btw are episodic because most children don't have the attention span for more than one episode (fact).Alucard_FoN wrote:I like it, but it's a little too episodic for me. Some of the eps, while good, just had nothing at all to do with the rest of the series, which is something I don't tend to like....But in a serious show like Bebop, I definetly like my continuity.
Again though, Cowboy Bebop does it so well and the small continuity that runs through it (Spike and Vicious) is done very well too. I mean each of those stand-alone episodes are pretty good by themselves (hence episodic ).

Which is why I don't like Trigun that much :gasp: (ducks and blocks too). Also the fact that RK is the same story, but came before and done better. Given Kenshin has it's fair share of fillers (which I tell ppl to avoid since not in the Manga), but overall it's just better...Kyoto Arc >>>> Trigun Story. I can smell the smoke from the flames coming.Propyro wrote:yes it dose seem to be a bit eposidic so far, but i don't think it'll get as bad as the first half of trigun where you get to watch a new villian of the week squash get squashed by vash. why dosn't that fact surprise me ... that would probalby explain the vast majority of crappy shows in north america.dwchang wrote:I generally (like you) don't like episodic stuff since it's just like US cartoons (25 minute stories), which btw are episodic because most children don't have the attention span for more than one episode (fact).
But anyways i liked trigun, i liked it before I saw that other half of Vash, and i liked it even more after you find out what Vash is. But i think i like cowboy bebop more so far. I exspecialy love the music ... i'll have to pick up the sound tracks one day, i've read a few reviews and i hear that they're amazing.

i was thinking of saving up for the 5 cd box set, it's got a lot of stuff that was never included on the other soundtracks. Though i'd have a great time trying to get my hands on it seeing as how i can't order anything over the net.Veldrin wrote: The seatbelts are truly an amazing band.
