i have been using Premiere 6, but i got this other program called combustion, and it looks fancy enough, but i just cant figure it out. now suposedly its like, top of the line, $2000 software that can do it all, but my copie didnt come with a user manual. yes, i got it leagely, my friend gave it to me cuz he likes Premiere more, and cuz he works with a software company, he gets all kinds of stuff to throw at me. anyway, i have yet to find something i cant do, and do easly with Premiere and Photoshop togather. :-|

but i would like some feed back on this combustion, cuz it looks like its a powerfull program, just the interface is IMO a bit clunky and to grafical.

re: Combustion-

I see it as more of a replacement for After Effects than Premiere. As for stuff it can do that Premiere can't, how about the 3-D compositing? Or the particle system? Or the awesome text functions? I'm sure there's more, but I haven't gotten very far through the tutorials yet.

PS: You can buy it off their website for USD $995. They are still offering a free tutorial pack with the purchase as of now.

The UI is rather complicated, but seems fairly logical and well laid out, IMO.

i would just love to read/DL something.....anything on it...but i have been redused to less then 56K. i can only access the net at school now, and thats only going through the schools nicely setup little net nanny that blocks everything under the sun save a few collage hosted sites. i can access the org and SWP with a teacher friend computer, but he wont let me DL anything to his laptop =\

this really blows chunks

however, if possable, can someone point me to a PSD file thats small enough to put on a floopy or two that can walk me through combustion? i would really like it. this program is really complacted to me, im so used to Premiere's interface, that not seeing a time line and a project bin throws me off. what can i say, im a creature of habbit =\

but the rendering to RAM funtion is soooooo sweet. :O

and whats this i here about text effects? =|

i feel so left out =(

There are freely downloadable tutorials on the website, and I have those.

I suppose I could archive the whole lot of it, and make it available to you, perhaps in small spanned archives that you could download piece by piece, even on a slow connection.

You have WinRAR, right?

PM me if you want to arrange something.
