I like the movie, however I am collecting the series and it is very good
I think that it is stupid that people watch the movie then say it sucked. They should at least think before they say something

MD Geist....... classic bad anime and even worse it got a sequel
Crying Freeman...... almost as bad and really is only good for a torture fest
Wicked City..... how did Hentai end up in a Blackbuster? And Bad Hentai at that!
Sword for Truth.... not only is the story incoherent but the incoherent story doesn't even actually end. Oh and how the heck do you mix up which way a sword is cutting (horizontally rather than vertically) and how the object should look in the aftermath
I find it hard to believe these four stinkers have not been mentioned yet

WHEN THERE ISN'T WALL TO WALL ACTION IT IS BORING! It is a FRELLING MASTERPIECE OF STORYTELLING BY ONE OF THE GREATEST ANIMATORS OF ALL TIME. THE KING OF DRAMA, HAYAO MIYAYAKI! pLEASE TRY TO BROADEN YOUR HORIZONS OKAY? sheesh...(walks off in a frenzy)Alucard_FoN wrote:NO, I'm sure, it was Nausicaa. And no, I'm not doing it to get a reaction. I just plain think it's boring. There were a few interesting parts in the beginning of the movie, sure, but on the whole, I was very very bored.
First of all, calm down, for christ's sake. Secondly, I wasn't even watching the english version, I was watching it subbed. Third, wall to wall action is NOT needed to keep me entertained. For instance, I loved Serial Experiments Lain, and there is almost no action in that show. Third, I do not NEED to broaden my horizons, my horizons are already plenty broad. I'm willing to watch anime of almost any kind.
In closing, let me just say, turn off your goddamn caps lock.
Oh! Too each his own then...

I would of agree'd with you mate. I even bought X when it first came out on DVD..Otohiko wrote:
I didn't read the manga nor watched the TV series, yet I thoroughly enjoyed X - in fact, it's probably my favorite anime movie. The athmosphere of it really gets me. As for the plot - heck, it's just basically a classic (as in, greek-tragedy-like) scenario, nothing wrong with that.
then.. I watched the series..
Theres not much wrong with the movie really, its only that the movie held such a VERY small candle to the series. There is sooo much more to that series then in the movie. It develops each character that you won't believe and not until after you see the series you will understand why people wouldn't like the movie.
Had you seen the series then the movie, guess you would feel the same as them. I saw the movie first.
I thought it was going to be a spoiler, but the first ep kinda tells you everything that happens anyway.....

Dammit.. missed the UncleMilo vs Mroni war..
Has anyone else suspected they are secretly lovers in real life?
I've never found the point at getting angry at people over random forums but when other people do it I find its rather amusing.
(strangely enough I hate 'reality tv' though)
never the less, by the way dwchang said what he said I imagine they have had a cat fight before..
who won?

I'm getting interested in this X TV thing now... gonna have to ask my brother to get all of it off one of his friends...
As for the movie - heck, I can't imagine it not being on DVD. It was made for DVD. It's too damn spectacular-looking not to be on DVD.

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…
