Huh? Did you mean the quote that is now *** out? I certainly hope so.

Curiously, I wonder why everyone capitalizes the D and W when it's clearly "dwchang" within my name...sorry...had to add some substance to this reply...oh wait, I didn't :).

I say the video should be disqualified, as many people undoubtedly got to see the creator post the specific video before any moderators were able to delete it.
"If someone feels the need to 'express' himself or herself with a huge graphical 'singature' that has nothing to do with anything, that person should reevaluate his or her reasons for needing said form of expression, possibly with the help of a licensed mental health practitioner."

That, and the fact that the video's been seen at many conventions already, is online for download, and most creators will have already seen it. O_o

Actually, I'd think the mods should blank out the majority of that post, since it doesn't take much to figure out what video it was.

There don't seem to be any rules in the Pro contest about previous entries or videos already being available online- Masters is the only one that requires it to be a new video from what I can tell, so there's nothing in the rules wrong with him submitting it. If the contest staff want to DQ it for violating the blind rules, that's obviously up to them... but, all told, I'd kind of figure that a decent number of people will have their video's information listed online already, and if someone really wanted to they search for the song/source combinations and figure a number of them out...

The "blinding" in the AWA pro contest is a "best effort" kind of thing. People who want to participate fairly won't go searching the internet trying to figure out who made each one before voting. Making sure that there's no names or studio titles attached to the entries makes it easier for people who want to vote fairly to remain unbiased.

If someone really wanted to "cheat" and vote only for their friends, there's no way to stop them, or even catch them at it (unless they do it really stupidly), but I think that the people participating are more likely to try and be honest in their assessment. It's not like there's big cash prizes at stake.
