I think most of the NJ crowd will be there Thursday (at least Mike and I will be), and mad props to Iserlohn for recognizing how lame we are.

There's nothing lame about not drinking. If I was the one who booked my room, I'd be tempted to have a replay of Katsucon 8 and offer to have a dry party one night, but it's not my call.

I'll be coming down on Thursday, one way or another (if my vid reaches the competition, then the family goes, otherwise I believe Ashyukun has offered crash space on his hotel room floor)... and considering I'm still a minor, dry parties = good.

I take it everyone's staying at completely different hotels?

Also, how many AMV CDs should I plan on burning? They got snatched up like crazy after the Anime Boston panel, but I imagine if I'm in the competition, then *everyone* will want a copy...

I've found that it really varies. At AnimeUSA last year I had to take over Vic's computer for a couple hours and keep burning to meet up with demand, but at Katsucon I couldn't get rid of them. That said, Otakon's big, and I plan on bringing 50-75, depending on whether or not I make the finals. Discs are cheap, as are paper sleeves. I shouldn't be hard to find, either.

I definitely want to be at the get-together. Haven't read all the other posts in this thread yet, but I'll get around to it. I just wanted to let you people know that I would like to be included in this gathering. Although I would imagine no one really knows who I am 'cause I don't hang around the forums all that much...
