I don't know why, but I dislike the majority of these new "metal" bands.
Gimme some classics, and I'll be ok.
(Given the fact that I'm almost 20 years old, this statement seems ridiculous, don't it?)

sworn enemy is the shit. i dont know about other new METAL bands but i like the ones that have already established themselves within the genre such as in flames, soilwork, at the gates and so on and so forth.

I'm hoping the "new" Fear Factory kicks ass, but we'll just have to wait and see.

Death metal has been
seeing a lot of shitty
new acts lately
and old acts getting shitty (ie In Flames)
But Black Metal has been seeing
some fresh faces
and revamped old ones
that are ripping goats like
no ones business (ie Aborym, Naglfar)
and BOTH have seen a lot
of losses lately (ie Limbonic Art broke up (2003), Emperor broke up (2000))
