Pay hosting

All right, I'm ready. I've decided that it's time that I get my act together and build a website. I'm more than willing to pay a reasonable amount for hosting as well. But I really don't want to get ripped off or get screwed when I sign a contract for a year’s service to some horrible host.
So, to all those out there that already have their videos professionally hosted, how is your service, and who is it from? How’s the uptime, speeds, storage, and cost (and I mean the actual uptime and cost, not necessarily that which is advertised)?
Also, are the majority of pro hosts cool with AMV being hosted? Or do most say it's a legal no-no?

I really cant recommend any hosting but as far as your question for if they allow amvs. For the most part no they dont and they will cancel your ass with little notice.

My host is decent. I haven't been with them long enough to get a real feel for uptime. So far my site/vids have been up, and I haven't experienced any downtime. I have 60 gigs and 500 mbs space for 16.00/month. Dling speeds are good, and I'm pretty happy with them. http://www.alwayswebhosting.com/index.html

Uh... hu hu.. uh.. ^_^;

bad news.. I just E-mailed your ISP and they told me that they are not allowing AMV to be hosted.... you might have a problem right now....

are you saying you get 60 gig bandwith limit for 16/month???? That sound way too cheap!

I use always web hosting as well, great tools, easy to setup, INSTANT tech support-makes my old host aplus.net look even crappier than it was. AMVs are technically ilegal off ANY host except your own, so just dont draw atention to your self
