Our deadline has been extended to September 15.


Also you don't have to be there to win, plus there will be prize to go along with those great award winning videos.


So don't be shy.

Plus, You can show videos that have already won awards at other cons.

It 150 words or less, describe why we should all want to enter your contest. Be concise and use descriptive words and phrases.
"If someone feels the need to 'express' himself or herself with a huge graphical 'singature' that has nothing to do with anything, that person should reevaluate his or her reasons for needing said form of expression, possibly with the help of a licensed mental health practitioner."

Anime Next AMV Contest Rules

Here are the Rules:

AnimeNEXT will be holding a Music Video Contest, so submit your videos today! There will be several categories for you to choose from, and the attendees will get to vote on their favorites. Winners will be announced on this website, and have their names recorded for posterity.
RULES:


1. The Maximum length for each video is 5 minutes. That includes intros, logos, previews, and whatever else you leave on, so keep in mind the time limit.

2. One video entry per person or group.


3. There are five categories:
Action/Regular
Action/Upbeat
Humorous/Satirical
Romantic/Sentimental
Serious/Dramatic


4. As for the content, please be aware that it must be appropriate for viewers under the age of 21.


5. Anime Music Videos with subtitles or dubbed sound from licensed commercial translations are not accepted


6. The entries must be in a high quality SP SVHS or VHS tape format or a digital source capable of playing in a DVD player.


7. No AVI, DIVX, or MPEG, Basically, nothing that requires a computer.


8. Send a Copy of your video not the original. You will not be getting this back!


9. Please carefully label your tape with your name, e-mail address, and information about the entries on the tape, including song title, artist, category, and source footage.


10. Include the following form with your tape/disc:
Name:
Mailing Address:
E-mail Address:
Video Title:
Song Title:
Song Artist:
Source footage (Please list all if more than one used):
Category:

11. All entries must be received by September 15.


12. AnimeNext Staff reserves the right to reject any video.

This isn't in the trend of just random online people starting contests for the helluvit.

This is a new anime convention held here in Jersey, and they're just starting up an AMV contest for the con. I'm assuming they haven't received many submissions (hell, I live right by there, and I haven't even sent anything!), so they're trying to get the word out. May as well give it a go and send stuff. I encourage other people to send, so it turns out to be a decent contest! (damn, I should go to the con now...)
