Maximo, I'm not gonna interupt you while you're watching anime or TV, but afterwards, you can either talk about it, listen to other people or just watch it again.

I'm just throwing my 2 cents into the conversation and waiting to see if anybody else has any similar opinions or further insights.

I've got to like Raven because I like "teh" Goth chicks, and Starfire's air-headedness is amusing. Maybe I'm just lonely, but the male character's don't interest me in the least. Leader, Brusier, Slob. Eh.

well at least thay are trying
If they are trying to make their own Japanese like cartoons, then its not because they are running out of ideas, its because they can milk it cause everyone else sucks anime's dick. New creators figure why not us as well, at least we are getting paid.

Grr... I really hate it when the US try to make their animation like Japanese animation... grrr. It makes them seem like such wanna-be's.

Their animation is... so simple... its not eye-catching like anime. I mean you watch stuff like Ed Edd & Eddy and its like you can't stand to watch it anymore because the animation is just disgusting and very unclean. (Well thats just me) I think when the majority of people watch some sort of animated series where the main characters are not.. attractive i guess you could say, and when they watch an animated series when the man characters are attractive, then they are more likely to watch the one with the animation that is more pleasing to the eye... if that makes any sence. And the majority of anime portrays that.

For example, staying with US animation, would you rather watch Ed Edd & Eddy or the new Justice Leage series?

And the majority of the US's animation have no plot... for example... those horrid Roadrunner cartoons... I mean this is classic US animation. Anime, (the majority of it at least) have an ongoing not really so much repetitive plot.

So it looks like the US is just now realizing what people want so they are trying to catch up. Ehh.... I'm definately sticking to the real stuff, the real anime.

The theme song seems to be sung in English but with a heavy accent to it. Similar to when you hear a couple English lines in a Japanese theme song. (What accent are they singing with?)

Within the first five minutes you get a chibi scene with an argument between robin and cyborg. You have an oversized teardrop of exasperation somewhere in the episode and you get the forehead blister of frustration (is there a better name for that?).

Aside from the obvious visual effects, did any body see a part of the plot that could have been borrowed? I don't know.

If Starfire's attitude confused anyone, she seems to be playing a stereotypical exchange student/superhero, since she is from another world.

By the way, Starfire and Nightwing (adult Robin) do get married in the comics. I haven't read them in a couple of years, so I don't know the current status.
Like i said earlier OVERANILAIZING and COMPARING eveything takes the fun and enjoyment out of watching a good television show.
Well, wow, that is really overanalizing, but it is interesting to know.

(I still haven't watched it yet but here is the favs based on the commercials and friends)

I like Raven because of her goth-like , calm, and uncaring personality too. I also like Starfire because of her carefree attitude and perkiness. Beast boy is just really amusing so yeah, and I like Robin because he's also amusing. Here's the order:

#1=Raven
#2=Beast Boy
#3=Robin
#4=Starfire

Hey!!! I like that show! I like a lot of American shows! I don't care about how something looks because there is the quality that actually counts. I mean, if a show is bad because of how it is, then it is bad, but if it has bad animation, that doesn't mean the story is bad or not amusing or whatever. I don't mean to be rude and sorry if I am but listen, if you judge something by how it looks then I......I just don't even want to bother on commenting on that.

Actually, I would rather watch Ed, Edd, and Eddy over the Justice League because I don't like the Justice League. Yes, it is "prettier" but I just don't like it because that is me, I don't judge it because of it's looks.

Hey, I agree that American cartoons don't really have a complex storyline and all and to me, it isn't better than anime, but I can't say that I am not amused by American cartoons. I also like it too. You shouldn't say that American cartoons are bad just because you are comparing it to something else. WHY COMPARE!?!?! It is good by itself.

If the US is trying to improve, then let them improve without comparing about how they are copying! Isn't it better to have people improve to get better quality than to just say that they are wannabes?
