[New from HDS] EVA - Bad Boyz 4 Life

Post by Alex » Fri Jul 25, 2003 8:38 am

My second attempt at bending the focus of what is considered a 'traditional cliche' in the AMV community. The idea for this video hit me when I was at a party. namely, what a loser Shinji is and how lame his friends are. So I decided to see if I could put together a vid that was..well...the direct opposite of the reality of the show. The result can be found here;

In all honesty, I had ALOT of fun making this vid, and despite some of the lows I had to sink to to acquire the clips I needed, this turned out to be one of the funniest pieces I've made in recent history. And a note, at some points it seems as if there was some very intentional lip-synching.......well it wasn't. In fact, I didn't notice it in an any of the test-encodes. In fact, it didn't even become apparent until I premiered at a small gathering of my friends, who all thought it was plotted out (as it fit perfectly). At any rate, I hope you all find it as enjoyable to watch as it was to make.

Besides the PR push, any thoughts on the presentation? I can say right now that the first minute or so after the opening probably needs some work, especially with those low-quality clips, but I'm more interested to know people's thoughts on the later section (where I put the most work).

Cheers!
