What's your "tool"? [i.e. AMV viewing application]

Post by OmniStrata » Mon Aug 04, 2003 4:13 pm

Heh, heh, not THAT one...

What do you use when viewing amvs? I was always a Windows Media Player 6.0 junkie. Until recently...

Winamp 2.90+ [NOT 3.0] happens to be quite damn good. From a music lover's standpoint, the presets for Winamp allow me to set some pretty damn good settings for the type of music I'm listening to DURING an amv. ^_^

What's better is that it plays some file formats that both DivX Player AND Windows Media Player can't play due to "bad sound codecs..."

:D

Winamp, it really whips da llama's ass! [and now plays kick ass videos too!]

I use Windows Media Player 9.

Should I change it into something else?

WMP is decent, but I've come across several that are better. But if it does the job - hey...

Nope... If you like it, use it...

For me, 9 eats up too many system resources [despite Problem Slayer being strong somewhat] and yet it crashes on me quite a bit...

Media Player Classic.
Winamp may whip the llama's ass, but only MPC can spank the monkey.

I like Windows Media Classic(yay!), but I also use DivX player, because some odd DivX vids just lag for some reason in my WMC...

Meh. Two players is better then 5, I suppose. It could be worse...

Of course, every time I said Windows Media Classic, and WMC, you know I meant Media Player Classic, and MPC, right?

... I'd hope. X[
