Good point. Although lack of acting ability never stopped a producer before, especially for a mindless action flick like this would undoubtedly be (Kevin Sorbo in Kull the Conqueror, I rest my case). It could still be real, but as it is I'm hoping it's just a dumb rumor. The world does NOT need more Drag-on Ball Z. The franchise is just old. Hell, Toriyama himself gave up on this horse's stinking corpse long agoKegger007 wrote:The one thing that tells me that that might be fake is the fact that Bill Goldberg is playing a voice. Sure he looks like Nappa, has the brains of Nappa, but I think that he can't speak worth a damn, or act for that matter. Anyone seen Universal Soldier 2: The Return? Nuff said.
BTW, love your avatar, Kegger!

Daio Kaji: Umm, those are facts.
And maybe I worded my sentences wrong when I said THERE IS NOT GOING TO BE A DRAGONBALL Z MOVIE!!! What I meant was that currently there are not going to be any for a while, even if they got the contracts signed today it would probably take them a good 2 years to make a decent movie.
They will probably make a DBZ movie, and maybe even put linkin park music in it. All I was saying was as of now, there isn't going to be a DBZ movie. But that may change in the future.

I hope that I am, and that I have a lot of witty friends around when I do. Making fun of DBZ is greatly entertaining ^_^

and i agree wit you, i know if they do finish this, it wouldn't be any time soon, they got a ways to go for this production, if it did come out soon, i'd be even more scared.

From http://www.db-unlimited.net/
Goku: Hugh Jackman
Vegeta: Ray Park (Star Wars: Episode 1, X-Men)
Piccolo: Sam Wheeler
Radditz: Jason Bateman (The Sweetest Thing)
Nappa: Bill Goldberg (WWE wrestling)
Tien: Orlando Bloom (Lord of the Rings, Pirates of the Caribbean)
Bulma: Jessica Alba (PUNKS, Idle Hands)
The director is to be Roland Emmerich (Independence Day, The Patriot, Godzilla). And, as I may have already said before, special effects are to be done by George Lucas (Star Wars).
Start the complaining.

Too late. Dragonball was already made into a really crappy Japanese live-action film back in the late '70s/early '80s, using the same piss-poor "Power Rangers" effects and styling the Japanese still use today. What's really hilarous, is the "accurate portrayal" of the characters. Puar is a goddamn parrot, and Yamcha looks like a cross between Pancho Villa, and a Columbian drug lord.Ive been dreading the day we stupid ass humans make DB into a movie. No matter what Fx they have under there belt its still gonna look and BE shit. Stupid ass human beings...

i also heard that it was a tribute to db (not dbz ppl) so i'm still too stubborn to call it a live-actoin db movie (even though that's essentially what it is) but i'll get over it, but i will not call it a live-action dbz movie, that's for sure, i have to draw the line sumwhere
yup... i liked him as wolverine, did good job, would rather see him play vegeta...or not at allShun wrote:And i was starting to gain respect for hugh jackman...
