ex, your collection's better then mine. Bu tthe solution is always time and money. BOth of them are needed. Me, my collections only about ... 5 months old, possibly a littl eyounger, maybe a little older, i'll have to check the date on my End of Eva recipt ... yes i keep all my recipts ... it scares me ho wmuch money i already spent on such a small collection.

I wish I had pictures of my good friend Chris' collection. We estimate he has over 2,800 episodes of anime in total between fansub CDs, videos, DVDs... A roomful and then some.

Sorry, but those sets are bootlegs.oXAnimeGoddessXo wrote:hey Hitori I noticed that you buy all the expensive DVDs, you should go to www.iloveasiandvds.com there I bought the complete series of Cowboy Bebop for $30, complete Rurouni Kenshin for $95, complete Love Hina for $30 (with movies), complete Evangelion including movies for $40, complete Hellsing for $20, and all of these sets include both the english and japanese versions and they're not Hong Kong DVDs either
Clues:
Prices too cheap to be real releases.
All region=bootleg, 95% of the time.
*did you know that Evangelion TV and the movies are licensed by different US companies? No such thing as an official Eva set with both in the US.
That FX company is doing some pretty slick releases from what I hear, but unfortunately none of them are the legal versions.
Oh, and on-topic:
I cleaned up and reorganized stuff since I took this pic, but anyway:

They sure look like boots to me (Region free & Chinese subs), but I'm not about to order something just to make sure. Most legitimately licensed DVD's catering to the Southeast Asian market (excluding Japan & China) are region-3 encoded.www.iloveasiandvds.com... and they're not Hong Kong DVDs either
And while I'm really trying not to turn this thread into a bootlegs vs legit debate, a lot of people prefer the "expensive" ones.
Finally, for the sake of posting on-topic (and because it's no fun if I don't show it off every once in a while ), here are some pics of my collection:
Rack One (75 Kb)
Rack Two (71 Kb)
Rack Three (280Kb)
Box Sets (300Kb)
You left enchanted by my intellect...
or maybe, you didn't.

I never said they wern't bootlegs, but the ENGLISH sets are not Hong Kong DVDs, I know they're bootlegs but I buy them anyways because they're a hell of a lot cheaper and they work fine for me
