Yeah I used WMM 2.0 but the first time I had a brob with a video codec and everytime I wanted to add a effect or a transition MM just crashed but after I got it fixed I had done two AMV`s and they are great!

Might just be being a stupid n00b again, but what is with the scrambling I'm getting from the frames when I watch my WMM movies? Am I doing something wrong, or does WMM1 just suck?
I aslo can't seem to play my clips in a continuous stream on the timeline, as you would be able to on Adobe Premier (which I use at school), whats with that?
Grrr...?

Well, preview with wmm can't be trusted as a rule - most codecs will look like crap, the bigger the file size of your clip, the more the playback will drag, and those hidden frames can *only* be caught two ways. Either count the number of frames for each scene change and cut off the first and last 3 of each one, or produce the video and go back into the timeline once you've seen where frames are stuck.

And the crashes are the same for version 1 or 2 - the best advice would be to save the project before you try a preview, and save it before any transition or effect added in 2.0 - those changes tend to make it lock up more than anything. Previewing fades will also either lock the program or make it halt on the fade and then skip 6 seconds ahead, but this is more for quick fades than the longer ones. Anything complicated you're better off producing trial vids to preview - trying to watch it *inside* the program may not work, and even if it does, it isn't accurate.

Sorry to bug you with this, but...
I took your advice and downloaded the Premier demo, but it wont recognise my WMM files!
You see, we saved the movies as WMM avi files to conserve space, but now they are unsupported!!! Is there any way to get around this?
Any help would be appreciated, man!
