How long does it usually take to make a good amv

How long does it usually take to make a good amv , I know it really doesnt matter u can probably make a good one in 1 day 1 week etc. Ive always wondered , ive been working on one for about 3 days and i just want tsome feedback

There are better AMVs out there than mine, but it took about 1 week to finish my latest video. I had a lot of free time, so I could work whole days.

At a beginner level without aspirations to be the next EU4EAH - about 3 hours of raw editing per minute of video. But, of course, time is no guarantee for success.

It's Taken me about a good 5 hours and i have almost half of it done , I Take it if you have a really good look of it i guess it gets done quicker , thanks for the comments helped me alot!

I made my first video over the course of about three months with about 5-8 hours put in per week (I didn't keep very good track). A lot of that time is what I call "think time," where I sit in Premiere browsing through episodes trying to figure out what I want to do. I'm still working on my second video right now and I've already passed that mark. I have the nagging feeling that I need to do something different. Perhaps its planning what footage from the series I'll use before I start putting the video together. Hehe.

Well, it really depends on the content for me. If I'm making a video with stuff I've done before (usual editing techniques, same effects) it gets done very quickly (3 or 5 days or even hours).

But if I'm trying something I've never done before, and depending on how complicated it is, it could take me a bit longer.

For me, i typically spend 40-60 hours per video.
That's the ammount of time that it takes me to feel the video can really be "complete." If I work longer than that I am afraid I would get burnout and not even wanna finish.

The video listings on my website show how long each video took. A lot I've done in a doy or a weekend, some 1 or 2 weeks and two have taken 6 or more weeks.

It just depends what your working on, if you have to rip, encode + edit the video, and also crop if its downloaded footage. I just sit in math class and get ideas for videos and go home and work on them...
