Diss sucky anime

I can name a few that I hate but I can just categorize animes that whether have action or not, focus more on goofy slap-stick (that isn't funny) and pointless plots that generally meant for cutiness. I can't describe it very well. But like Inuyasha, i hate, Lupin, hate, fushigi yugi, so boring, love hina would be another one I'd be bored with.

now borderlines that I've liked are Tenchi (mostly just the OVAs) cause I liked the background with tenchi being that powerful, yadda yadda.

SMJ because of the background, the history and such. I did get irritated at times with the stupid gay guy.

Ayashi no Ceres, I don't know why I'm thinkin this one, but I did like it. I was disappointed that that Aki when the ancestor manifested only had, really, one bad ass scene then he passed out. And never again until end when the ancestor gets the fake robe does he go back to badass. But I thought it dragged at times cause of the relationship between aya and what's-his-face. It bored me at times.

I'm surprised with all of Gundam Wing, relena is the one that got you to not like that. I just tended to ignore her. She represents liberals and groups like PETA to me.

Anyway, I understand what you mean with Tenchi, except in the OVAs when you explains how Tenchi would come to the cave entrance and play and she delighted in seeing him. Although that'd make her more of a motherly figure for him, but tenchi universe it made no sense.

And escaflowne is the one I meant, not fushigi yugi, although I didn't watch both and feel asleep to both of them. Do they seem the same to anyone else?

Heh, when it comes down to the relationships ruling the anime, Escaflowne and Fushigi Yuugi have a *lot* in common. They both have the rather plain girl who messes around with the guys and then finally pays attention to the main guy, whose been obsessed with her for no reason you can really see since she's annoying. And once that happens it gets sappily dumb and boring. But from what I've heard, FY is *much* worse with the sap and drama. At least Escaflowne didn't have them whispering each other's names constantly (like GW - one of the reasons I hate Relena, she's obssessed and overly annoying when it comes to saying Heero's name...eyeck...)

and as for the topic i liked esca alot and eva but maybe i liked eva becouse its so bloody and me benig a guy i like blood i think thats the big diff here is that guys like lots of blood and girls like more romance or comedy so thats prolly why this will soon turn into a girl vs guy thred and i want no part in that

YES! I'm not insane! (Sorry...lately been wondering what the draw some people have to the underage fanservice is...)

anyways...so this post isn't a total waste

1. Evangelion (a case of an OK show who's fandom killed it...on that note, Bebop's sadly walking on that line as well...fortunately it's still got some ways to go)
2. Gundam 0083: Stardust Memories (OK...I'll acknowledge I could be in a minority...but this is one of those shows where frankly I was just wishing for them to off everyone (except for Burning who, for the record, I think self-destructed...those weren't the plans for Operation Stardust, they were the scripts for the last episodes)
3. Gundam Wing (Surprisingly not for Relena...after seeing Quess Paraya she didn't seem that bad...in turn however, after Amuro, Camille, and Bernie, the Wing boys seem pretty bland)
4. Blue Gender (Try as I might, I just can't bring myself to like this show...esp. sad since I even found Reign to be more watchable...)
and
5. *gets behind shield* Love Hina (OK...actually, I'll admit, from reading the manga, it's OK...however, I also think it's insanely overrated...)

But, that's just me...

Wait...forgot one:

Aura Battler Dunbine OVA - The Tale of Neo-Byston Well (OK, I'll admit, the designs for Sirbine and Zwuath were both very cool...but the story was pretty weak by comparison (SERIOUSLY could have benefited from more back story) and a good chunk of the characters were retreads of characters from the original series)

Anime I Hate (in no order)
---------------
1) All El Hazard titles that are NOT the original El Hazard OAV (the original being one of my top 10 favorites)
Most notably The Wanderers. There is a policy in my home that any Wanderers material that enters my apartment will be destroyed instantly and without warning.

2) Mahoromatic - Terrible! How could Gainax create such a horrible show? The characters were more boring than church and the fan service became the central theme of the show. I have never disliked a Gainax title, which just adds to my disappointment of this horrible, horrible anime.

3) Dog Soldier - Just Bad.

4) Voltage Fighter Gowcaizer - Embarassingly stupid and bad.

5) Fatal Fury - All of them. Boring and bad.

6) Escaflowne the Movie - Animation was good... but good animation does not a good anime make.

7) Dragonball and all the Dragonball titles - While I don't like the anime all that much, it was the DB fans who really turned me against this title. Their constant raiding of message boards, their constant insistance that no anime can ever be better than DB ever... and of course... my experience at WorldCon.

Omni's a guy and he likes that sappy drama 'Onegai Teacher'.....

And girls can like the bloodshed and violence - why do you think Berserk wasn't on my list?
